The Biostimulant Academy offers a comprehensive digital training on plant biostimulants with the aim to better understand the sector, the use of biostimulants and massively disseminate validated scientific skills and knowledge.
Funded by ERASMUS + under Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training, the Biostimulant Academy is composed by 4 distance training programs, free of charge and given in 5 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch). The course is intended for a wide audience which include training organizations, universities, schools, chambers of agriculture, technical and professional institutes.
These trainings were carried out with the scientific and educational expertise of several partners: AkiNaO, Leno, Universiteit Gent, CSIC, Università degli Studi della Tuscia and AFAÏA. Professor Giuseppe Colla of Tuscia University (IT), who leads the Scientific Committee of Biostimulant.com and Professor Youssef Rouphael of the University of Naples (IT), another member of the Scientific Committee, are among the 23 European experts who created the programs and wrote the teaching scripts.
Composed of several modules, each program will be deployed at the rate of one per month until the end of the year and will address a specific topic of biostimulants: general concepts, the different types of microbial and non-microbial biostimulants, or even practical case studies.
Each module contains different kind of contents: video, podcast, forum, pdf and at the end self-assessment quizzes will also validate the knowledge acquired.
The expected impacts of Biostimulant Academy project are the fostering of biostimulant use amongst the agriculture industry, the increase of biostimulants’ stakeholder skills and knowledge, and the promotion of natural product meeting with EU regulations and Common Agricultural Policy objectives to support sustainable agriculture.
